A life without limits

Who is it that decides we have limits on what we do with our life, or what we can accomplish?

No one, no one but you.  I realised that I am one incredibly lucky girl to live in a world with no limits.

I’m Alex, hi.  I’m 22 years old.  I’m a civil/structural engineer working for a global consulting firm as part of the design team in South Australia.  I like to sing in the shower, sometimes I swallow my chewing gum, I want to run a marathon on every continent and climb Mount Everest.  Can I do all of those things?  Of course I can.  I mean, most people tell me that swallowing chewing gum is bad for me, but that doesn’t stop be doing it.  I’m not a good singer, but that doesn’t stop me busting out my tunes in the shower, because I enjoy it.  I believe that we live in a world where we have every possibility to achieve our dreams.  I’m an optimist, but I’m a realistic one. I know I can run a marathon on every continent, but not if I don’t train for it.  I’m a problem solver and believe everything has a solution if we work hard enough to find it.  I’m a dreamer and have a bucket list filled with some extravagant challenges that I’m going to achieve, through real optimism, persistence and determination.
